Top Ten Random Thoughts - First Year in Kenya

Click here for my video blog and keep reading to see the list and the pictures that go with it.

Number 10: I have tri-lingual cats!

Ali in the refrigerator!

Bonnie chasing the gecko in the corner

Number 9: I am impressed that my dogs seem to be tri-lingual also.

Batman and Robin, I love my dogs too!

Number 8: I no longer scream every time I see a gecko or a bug.

Millipede visiting as I brush my teeth!

Number 7: Not everything here is poisonous.
Scorpion catcher and killer is now added to my resume!
Batman and Robin attack the Monitor Lizard.  (That should be a movie title!)

Number 6: Spaying cats is just like riding a bike.
Ali, a few days post op with shaved belly!

Number 5: Learning to communicate in a new language is about much more than just words.

Number 4: Bridge traffic here is more interesting than bridge traffic in America.

Just another typical day waiting for the animals to cross the bridge!

Number 3: My resume has grown exponentially in the past year.

Broom making will not be added to my resume. My hands hurt and I never could wrap it tight enough.

Number 2: Everyday has something good in it, but some days it is harder to recognize.
Braids and Smiles!
Maurice and his big sale, arrows and kunde!
Kids teaching me a new song!

Number 1: Being here is the hardest thing I have ever done!
Having some fun seeing the giraffes and elephants in Nairobi!
Wish my family could have been here with me to see them.
Thunderstorm, soaking wet, power out, no one able to pump petrol,
but at least I didn't get stuck by lightening and I returned home
with both my shoes!
